advocacy

a key strategy for mission fulfillment

Second workshop in Tools That Work series for nonprofit organizations.

Thursday 2.9.17 • 5:30pm-8:30pm • includes light supper

Is your organization prepared to advocate for its mission? Many nonprofits engage only sporadically in advocacy because they lack the support and motivation for sustaining it. But solving social challenges requires working at a policy level. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to get started with advocacy, including the secrets to unlocking advocacy as a strategy for achieving their mission and having greater impact. Laurel demystifies advocacy, addressing fears and misunderstandings that staff and board members sometimes have about its role.
